EQUAL rights, for EQUAL work.

Last night Patricia Arquette won the Academy Award in the category Best Supporting Actress and she stood her ground. Holding her price in the hand, she leaned into the microphone. It was not just a speech of thanks it was way more.

Patricia Arquette decided to dedicate her speech to the women who “gave birth to every citizen and taxpayer of this nation.”

She talked about a really impressive and important topic. She used the stage and her time not to honor just her movie and her crew, indeed she honored  women and actresses.

Patricia Arquette called for wage equality and she is totally right with it. In Hollywood, as well as in America, women are not paid equally for the work they do.

“We have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United States of America,” she said.

EQUAL MAGAZINE is PROUD to write about celebrities, like Patricia Arquette. About people who are not just on the screen to amuse, but also to affect the audience and all who were listening. About people who want to change the world and make it a better place.

Thank you Patricia Arquette for your awesome speech.
